Like pretty much all of my songs, this one is based on true events. Namely, the dreaded act of being “pulled-over” by the police for breaking some random victim-less road crime. It feels like its more of a shake-down for government revenue than actually keeping the roads safe. After 9/11 the U.S.S.A is becoming more of an ape-shit police state and these armed goons have been known to murder and even seriously injure the cattle (citizens) of this country. Just go on YouTube and search “police brutality” videos and you’ll get the idea. My point of this song is that the priorities of the law enforcement are all wrong. Leave us alone. We want freedom. Go solve some real crimes. But if you do get pulled over… stay sharp, don’t make the cop feel threatened in any way, your safety and freedom could depend on it. Another track from the “Rushed Again 2″ album, produced by Ronnie Beck. Its based on the original concept of the hit single Mind Money (I call it a hit because it gets downloaded thousands of times off my server… candela!). Originally Ronnie sent me the beat with the acapella from the the first version over it but I wasn’t feeling it, yet. So I re-recorded all of my parts and created a brand new hook to fit Ronnie’s beat perfect. That’s the only way to do it. When I was over in China & Japan I decided on the spot to film a music video for this new version of Mind Money. Had tons of fun, look out for the video soon. During the trip, my Mexican Chicano video director was spitting the hook to the remix out loud. I knew then that I was on to something special with this song. Plus those cute Filipino lounge singers in Guangzhou joined in and sang the chorus with me on the first try. Hopefully this shit catches on some more. Enjoy!

This track was a complete loquera from the start. Don’t know what got into me but I created the hook and verses fairly easy. This was recorded back in the days at the Songo Sounds Studio in Kendall. The beat is by Edgar Matta and the voice on the hook is by a girl who helped out in the studio. I was just acting crazy with the lyrics and the concept. Since I have a track on The BumRush called “Street Liqour“, I made this one the sequel – Chico Liquor. Bootleg this one and enjoy!!

This is the classic CTRAFFIK and Caliba street anthem that was inspired by the fans. Whenever we’d be out promoting on the street or performing at our shows, the crowds would chant “Tha Union is on Yo Blocc!” After a while we figured it would be a great chorus idea. On this track, the sound of people screaming “Blocc” during the hook is sampled off the film footage from one of our live shows.


The beat was produced by the Production Duo known as Street Scores. Unfortunately one of the two producers for this record passed away right after we released this single.

We recorded and mixed most of “On Yo Blocc” at the On Point Entertainment protools studio in Lil Haiti (Shouts to Buggah tha Guvnah). The track also features Balli who brings his Jamaican Dance Hall flavor to the beat.


Being that Miami is a Mix of Black, Latino and Caribbean influences, this bi-lingual hip hop track represents our city perfect and is one of my favorites to perform live.
