Commentary:
The market forced my hand on this one. The original “Rushed Again” mixtape was downloaded thousands of times and, in particular, most of the MP3 cuts off the album. This lead to the realization that these hits needed to be cleaned up, recorded on original beats and given a wider audience. This album serves as a bridge between all of the mixtapes and tracks recorded since releasing “The BumRush” and the upcoming album “Chico Town”. Songs like “Blood on Ya Hands” and “Freedom” were originally written and planned for the “Chico Town” album but instead got released with the re-recordings of “The Day Hip Hop Was Born” (TDHHB), “T-Paine” and “We Came Up” – all that were so successful on the first “Rushed Again” disc. Because of time constraints, I just wanted all-guest producers on this project to get it out quicker, but folks were taking too long to get back to me with a beat for “TDHHB”. I fired up the turntables and produced the beat my damn self at the last minute to complete this album. This was definitely a work of love. I had to step up my mixing and mastering game as well. Also, getting to release the first few hundred copies with a silver foil stamped cover felt like I was releasing a deluxe version of an X-Men comic book. If you are one of the lucky few to get this limited-edition copy, then catch me when I’m in your town and I’ll buy you a drink for being a hardcore fan!

Commentary:
I was plotting on releasing this CD since 2004 pretty much. After putting out The BumRush and starting up Tha Union Entertainment, we were all in mixtape mode. They were cheaper to produce and quicker to release than a full fledged album. So naturally I wanted to make one of my own. Just when I thought the CD was gonna be made I would instead place songs on other Union mixtapes like “Blocc Hits”, “Blocc Politics“, “Blocc Unity” etc. Between doing shows, touring and dedicated my time to other joint mix CDs with Caliba this Rushed Again project seemed like it would never drop. I finally wrapped this shit up and in the process of recording the last original tracks like “The Day Hip Hop was Born” and “Sick Hook” I ended up recording the first tracks for the next CD “Chico Town”. I’m now cranking out albums like an assembly line! Stay tuned and enjoy this compilation of funk.

Commentary:
My first official full-length album and one that opened all kinds of doors for me. It was recorded mostly right after high school in 2000, 2001 and 2002. I had to break up with a girlfriend just so I can lock my self up and get the damn thing recorded, mixed, mastered, etc. The break-up wasn’t in vain because the project got done! I’m glad I got Cesza G involved before he did time. The skit with the cop was recorded at the FIU radio station. Dan Brown was a good friend who volunteered to play the racist cop in the skit. The girls talking shit in the Girls gone wild skit are also friends that I knew and were happy to record the unscripted barrage of insults! I use the skit as a scapegoat for anyone who ragged on me for “degrading women” in the “No Señor” and “Dem Mutz” tracks by pointing out that I have women degrading me on the same CD! As time goes by “Street Liquor” has grown on me the most but the entire CD is a classic Little Havana funk record!
