He needed beats, so he
learned how to produce. He needed a recording studio, so he
built one of his own. He needed a website, so he created one.
He couldn’t afford a lawyer, so he educated himself on
the ins-and-outs of music law and in effect successfully filed
for his own trademarks, copyrights, and established his own
publishing company. So, what’s next? Undeniable success.
Raised in a family of 5
by a single mother on welfare, CTRAFFIK (short for Colombian
Traffik) experienced first-hand the hardships of poverty and
above all, the need for a staunch work ethic to get ahead in
life. He represents a rare breed of artist with an unmatched
hunger for success.
Since 1996 he has been
working Miami’s local music scene and has become one of
the premier Latin emcees in the market. CTRAFFIK also co-hosts
popular TV (The Roof on Mun2) and college radio shows (WRGP
88.1FM) where he showcases his music to an extended Urban Latin
audience.
But how is he musically?
For starters CTRAFFIK is an acclaimed emcee battle champion
who is known to astound audiences with his witty bilingual freestyles.
He has opened for the likes of Ludacris, Angie Martinez, Joe
Budden, Boot Camp Click, and Tony Touch. ‘The BumRush,’
CTRAFFIK’s debut album, garnered great reviews and his
first single “No Señor” is a track that is
notorious for causing club-goers to erupt in dance.
CTRAFFIK will soon be releasing
several mixed tapes as well as a sophomore album jointly with
Tha Union Entertainment, a marketing and distribution company
he co-founded that commands one of the strongest promotional
street teams in the market. He also has several tours in the
works.
CTRAFFIK needs his big
break, you can bet he’s going to make that happen too.
